Environmental and Health Safety Professional

We are looking for a dedicated Environmental and Health Safety Professional to join our team at Seattle Galvanizing Company, Inc. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe working environment and reducing the company's environmental footprint.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of environmental and health safety regulations and be able to develop and implement effective strategies to minimize exposure to significant health and safety risks and environmental impacts.
This Environmental and Health Safety Professional will oversee data collection and reporting for multi-media environmental regulatory requirements and ensure that all individuals on-site adhere to company safety policies and procedures. You will work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
You will also be responsible for training employees on new safety protocols and monitoring compliance. This role involves regular communication with national and local regulatory agencies and management of accident reports and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to reduce exposure to significant health and safety risks and environmental impacts.
- Collect and report data for multi-media environmental regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all individuals on-site adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Train employees on new safety protocols and monitor compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferably in Environmental studies.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field.
- Intermediate computer skills (e.g. MS Office including Excel and Word) are essential.
- Has or willing to obtain First aid, CPR, and hazardous waste material certification.
