Job Overview

The Registered Nurse in Perioperative Services at Skagit Regional Health is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires effective communication with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient health status and medical history, completing Admission Data Records as defined by policy.
  • Makes accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status and responds appropriately, prioritizing nursing actions according to patient needs.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other nurses to ensure patient well-being, teaching patients and their families about health information in a timely manner.
  • Performs indirect patient care using established procedures, policies, and standards, providing thorough and concise reports at shift change.

Requirements:

  • RN license required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum two years recent nursing experience in Surgical, PACU, or ICU settings.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider Certification BLS required.

Salary: $36.97-$69.95 per hour (based on location and experience).
