Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families during this critical life event.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and accurately document patient responses.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns to physicians and charge nurses.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in obstetric care.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
