Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of current RN Labor & Delivery experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program.
  • Active unencumbered RN Texas state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • Fetal monitoring experience and certification.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
