Pharmacy Graduate Intern

As a Pharmacy Grad Intern at Walmart, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas. You will analyze and interpret reports, implement and monitor loss prevention and safety controls, oversee safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, and develop and implement action plans.

• Process and accurately dispense prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
• Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs.
• Maintain confidential information and controlled medication procedures as permitted by local, state, and federal laws.
• Evaluate potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with the use of prescribed medications.
• Ensure accurate dictation, communication, and interpretation of written prescriptions to/from physicians.
• Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
• Operate equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers and organize and maintain the Pharmacy area by following company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
• Maintain the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Maintain merchandise presentation in the Pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.

Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Science or Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
