Job Summary

This is a Flex/PRN position for our Regional Therapy Services, offering a variety of settings. New Grads welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement intervention plans using effective methods that are meaningful to the patient's plan of care.
  • Provide intervention, evaluation, and documentation of goal progress, modifying intervention methods as needed, and working with the therapy team to achieve patients' goals.
  • Orient patients, family, and/or other appropriate parties to the purpose and procedures of the physical therapy evaluation and treatment, providing patient/family education and teaching under the supervision of a Therapist.
  • Provide supervision for therapy assistants and other aides in a collaborative manner.
  • Develop and document a discharge plan when the patient has reached goals, achieved maximum benefit from therapy, or does not desire to continue service, providing appropriate follow-up resources, services, and training for the patient and family members as needed.
  • Obtain and document all required and pertinent patient information, including precautions, orders, and initial plan of care.
  • Meet requirements of third-party payers by including appropriate documentation following window periods and other insurance guidelines.
  • Perform pain assessment and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Certifications and Requirements
  • Physical Therapy Assistant certification from the North Dakota Board of Physical Therapy or Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy, prior to start date.
  • Driver's License with an acceptable driving record, prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, within 90 days of start date.
  • MN Background Study, start date.
