Position Title: Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

Position Overview: As an Internal Medicine Physician at Petaluma Health Center, you will deliver high-quality primary medical care within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will engage in strategic initiatives that foster growth and the development of new healthcare programs. Your primary focus will be in an outpatient clinic setting, with responsibilities that include after-hours calls, weekend clinics, and supervision of PA/NP staff, alongside collaboration with associated healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients aged 16 and older.
  • Manage admissions, evaluations, diagnoses, and non-surgical treatments for patients in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, adhering to clinical training and privileges.
  • Seek consultations for complex cases that fall outside your expertise.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, providing education and demonstrating respect for their cultural needs.
  • Exhibit a commitment to competence, consistently meeting or exceeding community standards of care.
  • Participate in peer reviews and uphold clinic quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive after-hours and weekend coverage for clinic patients.
  • Oversee PA's and FNP's, ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations.
  • Offer expert consultation for adult patients with intricate medical conditions.
  • Facilitate continuing medical education sessions for providers at least biannually.
  • Contribute positively to clinic efforts aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction.
  • Work diligently to meet productivity goals, improving patient access while maintaining high-quality care.
  • Adhere to scheduled commitments by arriving punctually and fulfilling your shift requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in medical staff meetings and other clinic-related gatherings.
  • Maintain current credentials, including California Medical License, DEA registration, and required certifications.
  • Willingly accept other responsibilities as needed within the scope of practice.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Board Certified MD/DO with a valid California License and DEA registration.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • California Medical License or Osteopathic Physician License.
  • Federal DEA Registration.
  • Medical Specialty Certification; Board Certified or Board Eligible in the relevant medical specialty.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) compliance for certification renewals.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Language Proficiency:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is preferred.

Salary Range: $227,000 to $275,065. This range does not include potential relocation assistance, sign-on bonuses, or other incentives.
