Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain radiological equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist physicians in preparing patients for procedures, including positioning, shaving, and prepping.
  • Conduct patient transfers and transport patients to and from procedure rooms.
  • Act as a scrub assistant during interventional procedures, administering fluoroscopy and maintaining a sterile technique.
  • Process x-ray images and archive them to the image repository, CD, or DVD.
  • Provide outstanding quality of patient care by supporting and driving the organization's quality standards.
  • Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations).
  • Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
  • 1 year experience preferred for Candidates with ARRT.
  • Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment).
  • Experience with interventional procedures, using/ordering/maintaining required materials/supplies for each procedure.
  • Knowledge and experience of sterile techniques.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices to be utilized when operating radiology systems.
Working Conditions

The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds.
