Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Coordinator of Athletic Development. This role will be responsible for coordinating grant writing activities, securing annual gifts, athletic fundraising, prospect research, and special events through Advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of identifying, researching, and developing proposals that align with the institution's mission and vision.
  • Research, write, and submit funding proposals to foundation and other funding entities.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual gifts from businesses and individuals.
  • Develop annual sponsorship and fundraising goals and help accomplish the institution's athletic fundraising goals.
  • Coordinate and promote athletic fundraising activities, including development activities to promote annual giving and major gifts for athletics.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify prospects for all fundraising initiatives.
  • Design and implement special events to support Institutional Advancement initiatives.
  • Assist the Vice President for Institutional Advancement in campaign activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field and more than 1 year of experience in a related field, or 4 years of direct related experience.
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Knowledge of philanthropic principles and gift-giving tax implications.
