Job Summary

As a Service Center Interior Lead, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all activities and personnel involved with interior modification of aircraft to ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of delivery schedules and optimum quality and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Work Schedules and Estimates: Develop work schedules, estimates, and status reports to aid in establishing priorities and assigning work to subordinates to meet or exceed scheduled commitments.
  2. Coordinate Work Assignments: Coordinate work assignments with other departments and work closely with engineering and contract administrators to ensure proper fabrication and completion of assigned tasks.
  3. Ensure Quality Workmanship: Ensure all workmanship is of the highest quality, provide recommendations for continuous quality and process improvement, and reduction of cycle time.
  4. Report to Management: Report to management on the status of all assignments, prepare and maintain department records and reports.
  5. Train and Coach Subordinates: Instruct, coach, and assist subordinates in the interpretation of work procedures, blueprints, and engineering specifications, providing training in work methods and procedures and development of employees' interpersonal skills to enhance the flow of departmental tasks.
  6. Implement Safety Program: Implement and monitor a continuous safety program with respect to the operation of equipment, work practices, and work areas, continuously enforcing FOD regulations, instructing personnel on good housekeeping practices, and supervising maintenance of a clean work area.

Additional responsibilities include the ability to read and interpret engineering orders and blueprints, demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement, and obtain objectives with minimal direction, and logical reasoning skills.

This position requires the ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, self-discipline, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
