Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items to specification, including making prep recipes and labeling, dating, and refrigerating prepped items.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side duties, including setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep and line stations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and line, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Practice a sense of urgency and have a positive attitude towards guests and coworkers.
  • Properly read items printed on order tickets or automated Kitchen Display System and assemble orders, double-checking product quality and specs.
  • Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge and communicate professionally with coworkers and Front-of-the-House staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Food safety certification program completion, if required by location.
Skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of organization, attention-to-detail, and sense-of-urgency.
  • Positive and friendly attitude towards guests and coworkers.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to move throughout the Cafe during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
