As a pivotal member of the housekeeping team at Sycuan Casino, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a pristine and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. This role not only involves overseeing daily cleaning operations but also includes mentoring and training the housekeeping personnel.
Role Objective:
To ensure a hygienic and orderly environment while providing support and training to the housekeeping team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor housekeeping staff by conducting training sessions, explaining departmental policies, evaluating team performance, performing cleanliness inspections of guest accommodations, and addressing any compliance issues.
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and materials by regularly auditing stock levels, procuring necessary items, and adhering to inventory protocols.
- Execute thorough cleaning and sanitization of hotel guest rooms, which includes inspecting linens, making beds, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking supplies.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience in hotel, resort, or casino housekeeping is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Familiarity with cleaning agents and safety protocols.
- Ability to comprehend and execute instructions and written guidelines.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Proficient in interacting positively with team members and guests.
- Capacity to stand and walk for prolonged periods and perform physical duties.
- Exhibits professionalism, composure, punctuality, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Desirable: Proficiency in multiple languages.
