We invite you to explore an exciting opportunity at White Deer Run of Allenwood, where we provide essential care for individuals facing addiction challenges. Our LPN PRN roles are available across various shifts, ensuring flexibility and accommodating your schedule.
Shift Differentials:
Enjoy competitive shift differentials of $4/hr for 2nd shift and $5/hr for 3rd shift, with options for both 10-hour and 8-hour shifts.

Located in the serene Bald Eagle State Forest, our facility is a premier provider of residential and detoxification services for adults and adolescents grappling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. Our multidisciplinary team delivers personalized care, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-Step recovery principles, and motivational interviewing.
Our picturesque 150-acre campus offers a tranquil environment, allowing patients to focus on their recovery journey away from everyday stressors. We provide a comprehensive range of specialty treatment programs, including aromatherapy, meditation, tai chi, yoga, and an outdoor ropes course.
We also feature a dedicated adolescent unit, offering age-appropriate treatment and educational support to help young patients continue their studies while receiving care.
Core Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
- Monitor patient health and deliver fundamental care within the LPN/LVN scope of practice, ensuring adherence to care plan objectives.
- Exemplify outstanding customer service and prioritize patient safety in all interactions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to address the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients, promptly resolving any concerns.
- Implement individualized nursing interventions to promote patient comfort and wellness.
- Engage in therapeutic communication with patients, addressing their concerns and reporting any changes in their condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Maintain high standards of nursing practice and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress and responses.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Preferred: One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical setting relevant to the services provided.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license as mandated by state regulations.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
- First aid certification may be necessary based on state or facility requirements.
