As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at White Deer Run of Allenwood, you will have the chance to work in a supportive environment dedicated to the recovery of individuals facing substance use challenges.

Work Schedule:

We offer flexibility with both 10-hour and 8-hour shifts available, including all shifts with attractive differentials for evening and night shifts.

Located in the serene Bald Eagle State Forest of central Pennsylvania, White Deer Run of Allenwood specializes in providing comprehensive residential and detoxification services for adults and adolescents grappling with addiction and concurrent mental health issues.

Our dedicated team employs a range of evidence-based methodologies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, to ensure personalized care for each patient.


Our facility spans 150 acres of picturesque landscape, offering a tranquil setting for individuals to focus on their recovery journey and reclaim a fulfilling life free from substance dependence.

We also feature specialized programs such as aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, and outdoor activities to enhance the therapeutic experience.

Role Purpose:


As an LPN, you will provide nursing care in accordance with the standards set forth by the state Nurse Practice Act and our facility's policies. Your role will involve demonstrating professionalism and empathy towards patients, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.


Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Assess and monitor patient health, delivering basic care aligned with the nursing process and care plan objectives.
  • Exhibit exemplary customer service and prioritize patient safety in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the diverse needs of patients, resolving any concerns that arise.
  • Implement individualized nursing interventions to promote patient comfort and wellness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and address any concerns they may have.
  • Ensure safe medication administration in compliance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and responses to treatment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Prior nursing experience in a relevant clinical setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid LPN/LVN license as mandated by state regulations.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications are required (training provided upon hire).
