  • Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Ensure all drivers are properly trained in job duties and safety and legal responsibilities.
  • Anticipate, analyze, and troubleshoot problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and legal solutions.
  • Schedule drivers according to division-devised methodology to optimize routes and schedules.
  • Foster a culture of communication and encourage associates to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records for all drivers, including delivery records and documents.
  • Assist in investigating accidents and maintaining incident records to prevent future occurrences.
  • Organize and load product for delivery, ensuring efficient delivery routes and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in transportation or delivery.
  • Ability to interpret and implement State and Federal transportation laws and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Clean driving record necessary.
  • Excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask with minimal errors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with minimal supervision required.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Ability to operate various tools and equipment necessary for the position.
