About the Role:

The Director of Nursing Services will be responsible for leading the nursing department at Avamere Rehabilitation at Ridgemont. This individual will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of nursing programs and activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for the nursing department
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections as necessary
  • Prepare and plan the nursing department's budget
  • Determine staffing needs for the nursing department
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing personnel
  • Develop performance evaluation schedules and criteria for nursing staff

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must have at least three years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital or nursing care facility
  • Must have at least six months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
