Job Title: Direct Support Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at Network Human Services. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including activities of daily living, socialization, and development of meaningful interpersonal relationships.
  • Participate in routine residence maintenance, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Document resident and residence electronic health records, including periodic status assessments, daily task analysis charts, and ongoing inter-staff communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, family members, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing staff in-service and staff meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to all community residence policies and procedures, including confidentiality and resident rights.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Medication certification and First Aid/CPR training required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License and eligibility for Network Human Services' auto insurance.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, under 12 hours/week, with varied shifts including Sundays and Mondays.
