Job OverviewPosition Summary:

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Senior Service Engineering Leader to enhance our team. This position involves addressing technical inquiries and providing solutions related to post-sales support, programming, and wiring for all WEG automation products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the Field Service team, Warranty Management, and Application Support Engineers.
  • Coordinate and document field defects, failure statistics, and customer concerns to our international manufacturing facilities.
  • Conduct monthly quality assessments and failure investigations for OEM clients.
  • Deliver technical assistance to customers and end-users via phone or email, particularly during complex product start-ups.
  • Issue Field Service Request Forms to clients when necessary or when the scope of their request exceeds standard support limits.
  • Provide Return Authorization Request Forms to clients as required or deemed appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed records of all communications in the technical support database.
  • Document non-conformities of WEG products in the designated database.
  • Review field service documentation as necessary for warranty validation.
  • Perform root cause analysis to ascertain whether failures are due to manufacturing defects or external factors for warranty considerations.
  • Assist the team in identifying parts for customer needs.
  • Train new team members in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage and conduct training sessions for customers and service partners.
  • Analyze customer and field complaints from a technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with the Production Planning and Control team and the Panel Shop to effectively repair and/or refurbish WEG panels.
  • Provide support to the Repair Lab and technical assistance as required.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in electrical, electronics, or a related field is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with departmental procedures.
  • Extensive product knowledge and troubleshooting expertise are essential.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, drawings, and service manuals is required.
  • Proven ability to handle complex scenarios effectively.
  • Capability to manage all levels of service-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
