Role SummaryThe Bilingual Controls Engineer will leverage their expertise in control systems, automation, and instrumentation to enhance industrial operations, improve efficiency, ensure safety, and foster technological advancements across various sectors. This role requires proficiency in both Japanese and English to facilitate communication with international teams regarding technology strategies and alignment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop control system architectures, incorporating both hardware and software components tailored to project specifications.
- Create and implement control algorithms, including PID controllers and advanced control techniques, to optimize system performance.
- Write, debug, and validate control software, including PLC programs and HMI applications.
- Identify and resolve control system issues, determining root causes and executing corrective measures to maintain reliable operations.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in control system technologies and industry best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher.
ExperienceRequired: Minimum of 5 years in equipment engineering within a controls engineering capacity.
Proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese and English is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, collaborative skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement, enabling them to design and implement innovative control solutions across diverse industries.

- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred: Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Yaskawa systems.
