Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Engineering Director to lead our manufacturing engineering team at National Oilwell Varco. Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  2. Leadership and Strategy: Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technical professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  3. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to strengthen quality control systems, ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet required standards and specifications.
  4. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the production team, resolving manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Project Management: Manage large-scale engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage department budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing measures to reduce production costs.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  3. Proven experience leading large-scale process improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  5. Composites manufacturing or related industry experience an asset.
  6. Understanding of ERP system operation and function.
  7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
