About the Role

The LPN is responsible for assisting Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Providers in the clinic setting. Duties include rooming patients, taking medical histories, completing thorough documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), preparation/administration of injections, patient phone calls, assisting with procedures, including the application and removal of casts and fitting and educating use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Additionally, the LPN assists in general maintenance of equipment, supplies, and exam rooms.

Essential Responsibilities

">

- Greet patients, complete check-in process, and answer patients' general questions - Answer telephone calls and schedule office and follow-up appointments - Obtain & process referrals - Prepare charts for new patients/pull charts for upcoming established patient visits - Ensure that proper patient forms are complete, current, and entered into the computer - Responsible for locating medical charts as needed, as well as chart filing and purging - Checks charts for progress notes and stat orders, prepares charge tickets and acts on any stat orders - Runs charge tickets and patient-specific forms - Processes medical records requests - Tracks and documents "no-show" patients - Monitors patient waiting area/makes coffee/straightens up area if needed - Collects co-pays/POA, etc. and balances cash drawer - Gather information for outside testing if required - Obtain authorizations from insurance companies for testing and injections

Additional Responsibilities

">

- Provides backup coverage and assists in daily office routine when needed in other areas - Monitors and maintains front office equipment - Orders office supplies, orthopaedic/medical equipment, and supplies - Cleans, sterilizes, and stocks/maintains examination rooms and equipment - Maintains cleanliness of all clinical areas and exam rooms - Restocks and orders supplies within budgetary constraints - Checks and cleans equipment, makes minor adjustments, reports need for repair or maintenance to manager

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

- Current and valid license to practice Practical Nursing in the State of Ohio - Authorized to administer medications by The State of Ohio Board of Nursing - BLS within three months of hire - Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in field or profession preferred; Prior front desk experience in a medical office preferred

Salary Information

">

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Benefits and Other Information

">

This is a Per Diem (PRN) Variable position requiring a minimum of 24 hours per month, with variable scheduling including evenings and Saturdays from 8 AM-2 PM. We offer competitive pay and benefits packages.
