Job Summary:

The Clinical Systems Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical information system support needs for patient care operations according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards. This includes advanced clinical system assessment, workflow charting, process analysis, and identifying and implementing clinical information system solutions.

  • Assess and analyze clinical information system support needs for patient care operations.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical information system solutions.
  • Mentor and set standards of work for clinical informatics team members.
  • Collaborate with the clinical informatics team to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and reduce costs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial records.

Requirements:

  1. Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in a clinical or business field (nursing, pharmacy, medical, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  2. Experience and Training:
  • Four years of increasingly responsible experience in clinical/business system management and ambulatory healthcare services.
  • Two years of experience as a Clinical Analyst or Informaticist.
  • Ambulatory clinical experience in management roles preferred.
Certifications:
  • Clinical informatics, project management, or usability studies certifications preferred.
  • Epic EpicCare Ambulatory certification required.
  • Epic EpicCare Kaleidoscope, Dermatology, Urgent Care certifications preferred.
Skill Competencies:
  • Effective interaction with patients/customers with understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
  • Effective interaction with all levels of management and staff using verbal and written communications.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, email, and scheduling applications.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer, phone, and standard office machines.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
