UT Health San Antonio seeks a highly skilled Psychiatric Professional Nurse Practitioner to provide primary level of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to a specific patient population in the outpatient and/or inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments in psychiatric care.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
