Position Overview:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will deliver age-appropriate pharmaceutical care and fundamental clinical services within designated patient care areas. Your contributions will be vital to achieving departmental goals, quality assurance, performance improvement, and other initiatives within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee medication orders while considering age-specific factors to ensure medication safety, including processing, preparation, and dispensing.
2. Engage in pharmacotherapeutic planning processes.
3. Effectively manage your pharmacy practice.
4. Supervise and guide healthcare team members.
5. Prepare and process sterile products for dispensing.
6. Contribute to departmental goals, programs, and performance metrics.
7. Provide comprehensive drug information and education.
8. Actively participate in interdepartmental and intradepartmental committees.
9. Enhance safety and efficiency through the appropriate utilization of automation.
10. Achieve assigned objectives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
Experience:
- Preferred: One year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
Licensure:
- Minimum: Licensed Pharmacist in the appropriate state.
Special Skills:
- Preferred: Advanced proficiency in computer order entry, Microsoft Office applications, and clinical experience. High-level cognitive skills to interpret and understand written medication orders and reference materials.
- Minimum: Basic computer literacy and communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Training:
- Preferred: BLS and/or ACLS certification, advanced post-graduate training, or equivalent clinical experience.
