Job Title: Preschool Teacher

Scottsdale Academy is seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and preparing them for future academic success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of preschool children.
  • Track and monitor children's progress, using assessment tools provided by the school.
  • Guide children in developing their academic, artistic, and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum.
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques, including storytelling, educational play, and sensorial activities, to teach children.
  • Establish a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes literacy and early education.
  • Execute daily classroom schedules, including teacher-directed learning, child-directed experiences, and quality outdoor time.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' growth and progress.
  • Understand and adhere to school emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Supervise children at all times.
Requirements:
  • Professional experience working with young children.
  • Knowledge of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Patient, friendly, and reliable demeanor.
  • Preferred qualifications include DCF 45 hours, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Level II Background Screening will be conducted through Florida's Background Screening Clearinghouse.
