Job Title: Preschool Instructor

Job Summary:

Scottsdale Academy is seeking a qualified Preschool Instructor to join our team. As a Preschool Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Your primary goal will be to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the children, enabling them to easily acclimate to the next level of education.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans tailored to preschool children's needs.
  • Track children's progress using the provided assessment tools.
  • Guide children in developing their academic, artistic, and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum.
  • Employ various educational techniques, such as storytelling, educational play, and sensorial activities, to teach children.
  • Establish a fun and engaging learning environment that promotes literacy and early education in a classroom setting.
  • Execute the daily classroom schedule, including teacher-directed learning, child-directed experiences, quality outdoor time, and other essential activities.
  • Encourage child interactions with peers and adults to foster social competencies, including self-esteem and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' growth and progress.
  • Understand and adhere to school emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Supervise children at all times.
Requirements:
  • Professional experience working with young children.
  • Knowledgeable in child development.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Patient, friendly, and reliable.
  • DCF 45 hours (preferred).
  • Credentialed with a Child Development Associate (CDA), or Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood field of study (preferred).
  • Level II Background Screening will be conducted through Florida's Background Screening Clearinghouse.
