A reputable client of TekStream Solutions is in search of a skilled and proactive FOIA Compliance Specialist to support a significant federal initiative, requiring an active Secret clearance. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both onsite and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with various components of the client to review responsive records and manage the transfer of cases between offices.

2. Aid in identifying classified materials, including Restricted Data and critical military technologies.

3. Assist in determining the equities of the client's components.

4. Identify information that is exempt from disclosure in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring proper application of exemptions.

5. Conduct necessary coordination and maintain thorough documentation.

6. Facilitate the reproduction of documents essential for case records.

7. Monitor agency coordination to track review statuses.

8. Manage case registration, including Classified Document Registries and other administrative tasks.

9. Maintain a comprehensive database and records management system for each case using the client's processing tools.

10. Review and reconcile release recommendations from the client's components.

11. Process electronic redactions of exempt information for case documentation.

12. Prepare detailed Vaughn indices that identify withheld documents, state claimed exemptions, and explain potential disclosure impacts.

13. Draft internal and external correspondence for case attorneys, ensuring proper approval and release.

14. Review information pertinent to ongoing litigation and accurately identify responsive materials for further action.

15. Identify privileged information within records related to ongoing litigation.

16. Create detailed privilege logs that identify documents containing privileged material, state the claimed privilege, and explain the potential impacts of disclosure.

17. Provide support for additional litigation requirements as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or Interim Top Secret clearance is required to commence work.

• Bachelor's Degree in a field related to information management or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Proven experience in case analysis, including conducting FOIA reviews, identifying exemptions, and applying redactions.

• Familiarity with protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

• Knowledge of the nine FOIA Disclosure Exemptions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical abilities, reading comprehension, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively, and adapt to established workflows as needed.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
