Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our operations at Style Crest Enterprises Inc in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing a dedicated team of associates, and ensuring the successful execution of various operational activities. This includes driving sales, enhancing customer service, managing counter sales, overseeing warehousing and distribution, and maintaining inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor sales and profitability to ensure resources are used effectively to support sales and growth expectations.
  • Work with Executive Leadership to develop and implement sales programs and promotions that increase sales, meet customer needs, and establish pricing guidelines that achieve financial goals.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to accomplish goals and financial performance, and provide guidance to resolve business or workforce issues as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships to ensure the industry-wide reputation of Style Crest Enterprises Inc.
  • Identify short-term or immediate initiatives to improve productivity, sales, profitability, and customer service, and develop strategic direction that supports future growth plans.
  • Responsible for the overall management of distribution, transportation, installation, and store operations with regards to efficiency, productivity, customer service, and satisfaction, safety, housekeeping, inventory, security, DOT, and other related regulations, and facility/equipment upkeep.
  • Review sales and operational reports and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or customer service through analyzing delivery schedule changes, equipment, labor, small shipments through UPS, etc.
  • Oversee the inventory control of all products and materials within each facility, including upkeep and storage of product, accuracy of inventory in the system, and the elimination of excess and obsolete inventory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related business field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated success in roles with progressive responsibilities both in sales and operations (distribution) with responsibility for P&L results.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufactured housing segment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in business planning and developing customer relationships.
  • Proven leadership abilities in a management role with direct reports.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written & verbal) skills.
  • Demonstrated team player who can lead and facilitate a team to produce results while maintaining positive working and customer relationships.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptive, and manage through business changes with a positive attitude.
