Mediacom Communications is seeking a skilled Network Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our HFC plant, ensuring the delivery of high-quality broadband services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct system tests and troubleshoot issues with our HFC plant, including signal/noise, signal/hum, and summation sweep.
- Install and maintain electronics, including power connections and test equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of our CATV distribution system and HSD system.
- Work with our team to identify and resolve issues with our trunk system, including equipment and power failures.
- Prepare estimates for projects and provide bill of materials.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
- Minimum of 6 months' time spent as Broadband Specialist III or 5+ years' equivalent cable technician experience.
- Knowledge of HFC plant, installs, and service calls.
- Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work in high or tight spaces and at various heights.
