Key Responsibilities:

  • Engages in a range of physical tasks related to trade and craft work, including but not limited to custodial services and warehousing activities.
  • Keeps designated work areas clean and organized.
  • Handles the movement of various items, including boxes and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Sorts, arranges, and relocates a diverse array of supplies and materials.
  • Collects and disposes of waste materials appropriately.
  • Assists with cleaning duties, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
  • Constructs, relocates, and disassembles furniture while adhering to safety protocols.
  • May operate light machinery under supervision, including garden tractors and power tools.
  • Supports skilled trades by providing necessary tools and materials.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Performs landscaping tasks, including digging and grading.
  • Mixes and applies materials for surface repairs.
  • Loads and unloads delivery vehicles as required.
  • Ensures walkways and entrances are clear and safe, including snow removal and application of de-icing materials.
  • Maintains the appearance of lawns and surrounding areas.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all tasks.
  • Reports any environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Understands and follows safety guidelines and hazard analyses related to job tasks.
  • Disposes of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred experience includes six months in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
  • General knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices is required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Must demonstrate safe operation of equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen or naturalized citizen eligible for site access.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Proficiency in common software applications and office equipment is required.
  • Must meet fitness-for-duty standards and be alert while performing duties.
  • Must complete all required training and certifications.
