Job Summary

Villanova University seeks a highly skilled Systems Analyst to drive the analysis, adjustment, and restructuring of different aspects of the University's systems, processes, and operational functions. The ideal candidate will work effectively with central information technology (IT) teams to translate needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult regularly with end users to understand and document business processes and facilitate the identification of solutions to increase user efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work proactively with university functions to articulate and plan for technology needs, elicit, and analyze both functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and author business justifications and requests for funding.
  • Enhance business processes through strategic use of technology and support teams in identifying data/reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Financial Assistance Technology for technical support in processing financial assistance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience including analyzing business processes or equivalent combination of experience, education, and certification.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner Financial Aid modules, Automic Job Scheduling software, and Structured Query Reports (SQR).
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with systems and integrations used by Financial Assistance.
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills to diagnose problems in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate key insights through visually appealing and informative reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with creating reports on the Cognos and Argos platforms.
