About the Role

Boulder Community Health is seeking a skilled Trauma Tech to support nursing in the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct patient care, clerical support, order entry, stocking and unit supplies, and patient transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, wound care, and dressings
  • Prepare, alphabetize, and file paper portion of ED charts for medical records
  • Understand and run Laboratory instrumentation
  • Perform Laboratory tests and Procedures as directed
  • Assist RN with Major Trauma
  • Assess patients according to department standards
  • Initiate IV access according to standards
  • Perform Acts in accordance with the Rules Pertaining to EMS Practice and Medical Director Oversight
  • Assure stocking and supplies in areas assigned
  • Participate in maintaining a neat and clean environment
Requirements
  • Medical Terminology class preferred
  • Pre-hospital or trauma tech experience preferred
  • Colorado certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • IV certification required
  • Copy of High School or higher-level degree diploma or transcript required for point of care testing
