About the Role

Boulder Community Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Run laboratory technical equipment and use laboratory information systems to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
  • Instruct new employees and orient them through the department in which they are working.
  • Use hospital information systems to manage patient data and laboratory results.
  • Perform various laboratory tasks, including washing glassware and accurately charging lab procedures.
  • May be designated lab supervisor on weekends or holidays.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
  • MT/MLS/MLT certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • Sectional certification depending on lab section (e.g. M(ASCP) for Microbiology, H(ASCP) for Hematology, etc.).
  • Specialty certification depending on lab section (e.g. SC(ASCP) for Specialist in Chemistry, SBB(ASCP) for Specialist in Blood Bank, etc.).
  • Certification registry eligible and certified within one year of becoming eligible.
