We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting lifesaving blood donations from volunteer donors. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that every donation meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood donations from volunteer donors using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
- Collaborate with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donors, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the donation process.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure the quality and safety of the blood donations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a public setting.
- Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record (may be required).
- Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, as well as sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
- Prior leadership experience.
