Building Automation Systems HVAC Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Systems HVAC Technician to join our team at ABM Industries in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience with Trane, Tridium, Niagara, Distec, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Honeywell Building Automation System components repair.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and ability to work independently. As a Building Automation Systems HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for managing and integrating the Building Automation System (BAS) Technician, working closely with Facility Management to maintain the logics, equipment, and daily monitoring operations of the BAS.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance, inventory control, quality assurance
- Aid the onsite building operations team in daily troubleshooting and repairs of the HVAC systems, focusing on the BAS controls, DDC system components, and devices
- Co-monitoring to the operation of the BAS and HVAC systems, to include alarm management, performance, programming, building occupancy schedules, temperature setpoints, lighting controls schedules, submeters, histories, trends, and other systems
- Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document service delivery needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements
- Input work orders in Asset Essential CMMS system. Complete self-assessed work orders in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Must have Tridium AX & N-4 License required or have the ability to obtain it within the first 60 days of work
- 2-10 years of experience with Trane, Tridium, Niagra, Distec, Johnson Controls Metasys, Rover, and Honeywell Building Automation System components repair
- Electronics or equivalent job experience in the controls industry
- Computer networking knowledge and skills
- CMMS experience preferred
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Knowledge of DDC controls as they apply to the HVAC industry
- Have an interest in maintaining HVAC and DDC controls skills through a combination of self-study, corporate training, workshops, and other school or training development skills
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience
