Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive studies in operations to optimize workflow and spatial utilization.
  • Ensure the efficiency of facilities while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Perform detailed cycle time and bottleneck analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and refine work methods to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with functional and operational managers to boost productivity, quality, and throughput.
  • Support initiatives related to World Class Manufacturing (WCM), particularly in Workplace Organization (WO) and Logistics (LO) pillars.
  • Assist the IE Manager with various Industrial Engineering and WCM assignments and projects.
  • Execute manpower planning, leveling, and adjustments based on assembly plant volume changes.
  • Conduct studies on Direct Labor, Indirect Labor, and Ergonomics.
  • Engage with production management and union leadership daily regarding staffing needs and IE activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within the automotive assembly sector in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work various shifts and overtime as required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Proven experience with time/motion studies and the development of standardized work and standard data.
  • Strong analytical skills to continuously enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Practical knowledge of traditional lean manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with MODAPTS is preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, from shop floor personnel to management.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
