Key Responsibilities:- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and post accurate journal entries for various accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial records.
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support internal and external auditors during audit reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in the quarterly and annual SEC financial statements and filings, providing financial and variance analysis to support decision-making processes and identify trends or issues for the U.S. Benefits team.
- Employee Benefit Plan Audits: Assist in the preparation of employee benefit plan audits and financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations, aligning with Waters Corporation's commitment to innovation and excellence.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of public accounting or other relevant financial experience, preferably within a global publicly traded company.
- Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Personal Qualities: Attention to detail and high level of accuracy; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
