Job Summary

The Store Clerk/Cashier position at Isanti, LLC is a vital team member of the store operation, responsible for performing various operational store functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the checkout procedures at the store, assisting customers, and supporting efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Calculate and return change for cash transactions
  • Maintain adequate change denominations and request additional change as needed
  • Answer customer questions about products or services and provide recommendations based on customer needs
  • Cross-sell and upsell products to increase sales
  • Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts
  • Report issues with equipment to management
  • Collaborate with the team to meet store sales goals
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Process returns and exchanges
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout and merchandise areas
  • Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise
  • Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
  • Stay up-to-date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Computer literacy and experience with point-of-sale systems
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex payment discrepancies
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Provide the highest level of integrity to maintain and safeguard employer confidentiality
  • A solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business administration or related field
  • General understanding of and practicing emotional intelligence in the workplace
Performance Factors

Attendance and Dependability: The employee has reliable transportation to work and can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work. Employees can be dependent upon completing work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and conscientious about assignments.

Communication and Contact: The employee communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.

Relationships with Others: The employee works effectively and relates well with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. The employee exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.

Indian Preference: Indian preference will be given to candidates showing proof of enrollment in a federally recognized tribe. Successful Candidate Must:

  • Submit to and pass a drug test

  • Be insurable to operate tribal vehicles
  • Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain driver's license
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Pass a cash handling test
