Retail Sales Associate

At Power Townsend Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by operating a checkout counter, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities- Create a Welcoming Environment: Maintain a clean and orderly front end, including housekeeping tasks as needed, to create a positive first impression for customers.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Verbally welcome all customers to Power Townsend Company, answer basic questions about merchandise, and transfer customers to the correct department as needed.
- Process Transactions Efficiently: Operate all point-of-sale equipment, process various types of transactions, and provide accurate sales transactions to customers.
- Maintain Store Displays: Restock and clean displays and areas around the checkout counter to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
- Follow Store Policies: Understand and perform proper procedures for opening and closing the cash till, and adhere to all store policies and safety standards.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess outstanding customer service skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Team Player: Demonstrate a willingness to contribute wherever needed, work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and be highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Technical Skills: Have a general understanding of store merchandise, be able to efficiently operate the store's point-of-sale system, and possess basic math and cash register skills.
- Continuously Expand Knowledge: Continually expand knowledge of all departments in the store and become a versatile employee able to help in other areas when needed.
- Boost Sales: Promote the store's loyalty program and add-on sales to boost overall sales.
