Job Title: Network Specialist I

**Job Summary:**

As a Network Specialist I at TDS Telecommunications, you will play a critical role in supporting outside plant project initiatives, analyzing records, statistics, and reports related to OSP functions. You will work closely with network operations, associate managers, consultants, design engineers, and construction contractors to ensure the needs of the company are met.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Coordinate and plan outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations
* Supervise consulting resources in the engineering and/or construction phase of projects
* Implement fiber networks while adhering to TDS Outside Plant (OSP) guidelines and standards
* Ensure compliance with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards
* Assist in engineering OSP projects, including creating labor, material, and overhead project estimates
* Oversee numerous construction projects, monitoring costs and job progress to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion
* Communicate with governmental agencies to protect the TDS OSP network from proposed road improvements and negotiate with municipalities or other utility companies for the purchase, lease, and/or sale of inner ducts, fiber, and/or complete fiber networks

**Additional Information:**

This position can be hired at either a Network Specialist or Network Specialist I level, depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. The actual offer amount will be carefully considered based on multiple factors. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses and equity awards. This position has the ability to work from a home office, but individuals must reside within a commutable distance of Spokane, Washington.
