At Plant Riverside District, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail and Gallery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our luxury boutique hotel's retail and gallery operations, you will be responsible for maintaining current inventory, ordering, and records, as well as managing the gallery atmosphere and team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current inventory, ordering, and records
  • Manage the gallery atmosphere and team
  • Assist in team growth and management
  • Generate artist payments and invoices
  • Manage payments for retail vendors and artists
  • Merchandise current inventory in retail spaces
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail and gallery team
  • Assist the Director in achieving budget for both gallery and retail spaces
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in luxury sales
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining a fine art gallery
  • History of product ordering and inventory control
  • Strong sales and communication skills
  • Efficient and organized
  • History of exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service management skills
Work Environment:

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regular lifting and maneuvering of up to 20lbs on a daily basis, 50lbs on a periodic basis. Travel by foot, car, bus, airplane or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting and standing for long and short periods of time.
