About the Role

The Business Valuation Services Manager will be responsible for business development and oversight of the valuation practice. Our Valuation group is recognized as a leader in the valuation of businesses, securities, and intangible assets for a wide range of tax, transaction, and compliance purposes.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow and manage the group's Valuation Consulting practice, developing an area of expertise
  • Manage and perform consulting engagements as required
  • Assist with proposals and business development, including marketing materials and web-based marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with other offices and industry groups to manage and develop consulting practices
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences, participating in firm-wide marketing and sales programs
  • Develop and participate in training programs for existing clients and prospects
  • Present topics at valuation seminars and webinars
  • Write and/or co-author articles for valuation periodicals
  • Develop and participate in public speaking opportunities at industry trade shows and conferences
  • Leverage technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics required; MBA or Master's in Business Valuations preferred
  • CPA, CFA, or ASA designation preferred
  • Minimum of 13 years of related experience in a complex organization required, including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred
  • Prior success in leading key business development, project delivery, and practice development activities required
  • Must demonstrate immediate success to the firm around practice development, providing thought leadership, and meeting target sales goals by having an established network and participating in various market-facing activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
  • Exceptional client service skills; experience serving mid-market clients preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize while managing multiple client engagements and priorities
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 30%

Compensation Range: Washington State: $207,000 - $408,000; California State: $222,000 - $425,000; Colorado State: $207,000 - $388,000
