Job Summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Product Owner to work with our client in the financial industry. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and translate business needs into feasible enhancements for existing products and solutions or building new offerings across the Digital Channels space.
  • Act as an ambassador for change and drive technology development.
  • Maintain product management relationships and drive technology development.
  • Elicit and document business and functional requirements, write and groom business enablement, technology enablement, and tech debt epics, MBIs, and stories, as well as generate process/data flow diagrams and create user guides.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed solutions across the business, develop use cases to explain and/or demonstrate business requirements and specifications to the technology team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.
  • Act as a liaison across various business units, systems development staff, management, and end-users to determine requirements and contribute to the successful implementation of assigned projects by ensuring all required elements are appropriately understood, documented, owned, and actioned.

Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, preferably in a Business Analyst/Product Owner role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technology/development and business partners.
  • Ability to translate between these two constituencies.
  • Excellent written communication skills and excellent communication skills and client presence.
  • Ability to create user journeys, user stories, wireframes, mockups, and basic diagrams to convey ideas.
  • Experience using tools like Rally and JIRA for Agile projects.
  • Understanding of business process redesign concepts and process improvement techniques.
  • Understanding and experience with technical solutions and components (APIs, Middleware, Services, SQL).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills, strong written and verbal presentation skills.
