Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services. As a Clinical & Drug Information Coordinator, you will play a critical role in monitoring drug therapy for behavioral health clients, providing drug information, and conducting clinical consultations and educational programs for healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor drug therapy for behavioral health clients and provide drug information to healthcare providers
  • Conduct clinical consultations and educational programs for healthcare providers
  • Prepare for and participate in EQRO, DHCS, and other audits
  • Perform quality assurance drug use evaluations
  • Write policies and procedures related to medication administration, storage, transportation, and disposal
Requirements
  • Possession of a current, valid Pharmacist License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
  • Doctor of pharmacy degree and completion of one of the following: one year residency program accredited by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, or post-graduate fellowship program
  • Knowledge of psychotropics and related monitoring, co-occurring mental health and SUD experience/knowledge, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
