Key Responsibilities

As a Fire Safety Inspector, your duties will include:

  • Conducting routine inspections and testing of fire safety systems, including Electrical, Sprinkler, and Suppression product lines.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on various fire protection equipment.
  • Utilizing low-voltage wiring and devices to operate equipment effectively.
  • Completing Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices.
  • Adhering to a structured inspection schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Managing inspection documentation through a laptop computer.
  • Providing technical training and support to junior inspectors and trainees.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-2 years of documented experience in fire alarm or fire sprinkler services.
  • A fire alarm license or the ability to obtain one.
  • The physical capability to handle equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • The ability to work in various challenging positions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Compliance with safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses as per National, State, and Local regulations.
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently.
