Sprinkler System Inspector

At SSI Fire & Safety Holdings, LLC., we are seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our fire protection division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and protection of our clients' properties.

About the Job
  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform visual inspections of wet, dry, pre-action deluge, and foam systems to detect any defects or malfunctions.
  • Test and maintain fire sprinkler system valves, gauges, and other equipment to ensure proper function and pressure levels.
  • Verify proper communication with monitoring stations and complete system tests to ensure fire sprinkler system devices are working correctly.
  • Document inspection findings and report deficiencies to management, providing recommendations for resolution.
Requirements
  • NICET Level I certification in inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Backflow certification.
  • 3-5 years of fire sprinkler experience.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Push and pull items greater than 40 pounds, as needed.
  • Ability to safely use and climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 24 feet.
  • Ability to work comfortably on a regular basis, at a height greater than 26 feet.
