Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Inspector

State Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for performing visual inspections of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems to ensure they are functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual inspections of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems to identify any defects or malfunctions.
  • Conduct inspections of wet, dry, pre-action deluge, and foam systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Test and inspect fire sprinkler system valves, gauges, and other components to ensure they are working properly.
  • Verify proper communication with monitoring stations when working on monitored systems.
  • Complete system tests to verify fire sprinkler system devices are working properly.
  • Finalize inspection reports and present findings to management.
Qualifications:
  • NICET Level I certification in inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications used for installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to inspect and service all fire sprinkler systems.
  • Ability to inspect and test all types of fire pumps, including diesel and electric motors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Backflow certification.
  • 3-5 years of fire sprinkler experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull items greater than 40 pounds, as needed.
  • Ability to safely use and climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 24 feet.
  • Ability to work comfortably on a regular basis, at a height greater than 26 feet.
  • Constant walking, standing, carrying/handling objects, climbing ladders, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
