Key Responsibilities:- Perform visual inspections of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems to identify any defects or malfunctions.
- Conduct inspections of wet, dry, pre-action deluge, and foam systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Test and inspect fire sprinkler system valves, gauges, and other components to ensure they are working properly.
- Verify proper communication with monitoring stations when working on monitored systems.
- Complete system tests to verify fire sprinkler system devices are working properly.
- Finalize inspection reports and present findings to management.
- NICET Level I certification in inspection and testing of fire sprinkler systems or 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications used for installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to inspect and service all fire sprinkler systems.
- Ability to inspect and test all types of fire pumps, including diesel and electric motors.
- Backflow certification.
- 3-5 years of fire sprinkler experience.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull items greater than 40 pounds, as needed.
- Ability to safely use and climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 24 feet.
- Ability to work comfortably on a regular basis, at a height greater than 26 feet.
- Constant walking, standing, carrying/handling objects, climbing ladders, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
