Job Overview: Under the guidance of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for various accounting functions including daily banking activities, transaction recording, and preparation of journal entries. This role involves detailed analyses, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of financial records and reports. The Staff Accountant ensures the accuracy of the general ledger and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain comprehensive financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Oversee daily banking activities and transaction entries.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the monthly closing processes.
  • Ensure the integrity of the company's accounts payable workflow.
  • Safeguard the accuracy of all accessed data and information.
  • Distribute monthly Profit and Loss statements to relevant internal departments.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual operating budgets and performance forecasts.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage W-2G and 1042S tax withholding tracking and submissions, including annual tax form preparation.
  • Assist with 1099 tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate W-9 forms are maintained for vendors.
  • Support Fixed Asset management and associated depreciation schedules using the FAS Software System.
  • Assist with audit preparations.
  • Maintain documentation for the Finance department.
  • Meet all processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests from management and for auditing purposes.
  • Support the Accounting Manager and Financial Controller as required.
  • Exhibit professionalism and serve as a role model for all team members.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and events.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for all guests and team members.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Work at other properties as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience, or an Associate's Degree with six (6) years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas (pivot tables and V-lookups).
  • Experienced in reconciliations.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility with shifts and days off, including the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a Key gaming license in accordance with applicable regulations.
