Position Summary:
Luminator is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our vibrant Engineering Team. This role is designed to support our Operations team in implementing Lean Manufacturing practices and to assist in the daily operational activities. The intern will leverage data to identify and execute improvements across the assembly process, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the various operational aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively challenge existing processes, troubleshoot issues, and adopt a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The essential duties include:
- Collaborating with manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and repair teams to address product and production challenges.
- Assisting in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working alongside Manufacturing/NPI Engineers to facilitate product launches at the Plano, TX Facility.
- Creating and reviewing detailed engineering documentation and operational instructions.
- Preparing presentation materials for short-term projects.
- Supporting the materials team with inventory management and shipping tasks.
- Updating and correcting Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers.
- Assisting in daily reporting for backlog calculations, capacity analysis, and invoicing using MRP systems.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited four-year institution, ideally in a relevant field such as Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Open to Junior, Senior, or Graduate level students.
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
