Position Summary

We are seeking a Laboratory Research Associate to join our R&D team, contributing to various research initiatives.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be instrumental in propelling our research and development projects forward through hands-on laboratory work. Your efforts will be pivotal in both refining existing products and aiding in the development of new offerings, with an emphasis on enhancing operational efficiency within the Catalyst Synthesis and Testing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols while executing tasks.
  • Engage in practical laboratory work, assisting in the execution of research projects and other related assignments under guidance.
  • Operate laboratory apparatus proficiently for catalyst synthesis and evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory documentation and inventory records.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate effectively with scientists and cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality research outcomes.
  • Meet project timelines through individual contributions.
  • Procure laboratory supplies and chemicals as necessary.
  • Assist in the handling of large or heavy materials when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience; industrial experience is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain inventory effectively.
  • Self-driven and detail-oriented, committed to performing routine laboratory tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and enthusiasm for laboratory activities.
